The Crystal Palace winger was the subject of a £40m bid from the Gunners earlier this week.
Eagles chiefs were reportedly incensed by the offer and rejected it immediately without consideration.
But Zaha’s brother made a statement to the media claiming the star is a lifelong Arsenal fan and wants to join the club.
The Emirates outfit are financially hamstrung and would appear to have minimal chance of matching Palace’s £80m valuation of their man this summer.
But the man himself has added fuel to the fire of speculation by posting on his official Twitter account.
“Whatever happened to speaking facts?” the Ivorian international wrote while on duty of the Africa Cup of Nations.
“It’s sad and annoying how anyone will just open their mouth and speak on things or situations they know absolutely nothing about.”
Zaha, who scored in a 4-1 victory over Namibia on Monday, remained coy over the speculation regarding his ‘dream’ transfer.
Asked about Arsenal’s £40m offer, Zaha told On Sport: “I have no comment on it.
“The only thing that’s on my mind right now is trying to win this cup [AFCON].”
Pushed on whether he would like to play for Arsenal, Zaha replied: “I don’t know… we’ll see in the future.”
And despite it being unclear what Zaha’s tweet was referring to, Arsenal fans are convinced the former Manchester United player is Emirates bound.
One replied to his tweet, saying: “Right? And the facts are that you in an Arsenal shirt is destiny.”
“The Arsenal are calling,” added a second supporter.
“Come to Arsenal, we won’t hold you hostage ever,” wrote another Gooner.
A fourth fan has seemingly already preempted the transfer, tweeting: “I’ve already got your name on my new home kit. WELCOME TO ARSENAL MY G”
