Unai Emery is interested in a swoop to bring Paris Saint-Germain outcast Adrien Rabiot to Arsenal, according to a report in France.
French website Paris United, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Arsenal manager is very interested in a reunion with the France international at The Emirates.
The same article states that Rabiot is set to leave PSG on a free transfer in the 2019 summer transfer window following a frustrating season at Parc des Princes.
According to the same story, Emery and Rabiot have a good working relationship despite disagreeing about his best position in the PSG team.
However, the report goes on add that Arsenal will face competition from Manchester United and Tottenham for the PSG midfielder’s signature.
Arsenal could struggle to attract Rabiot to north London without the offer of Champions League football next term.
The Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term and 28 points adrift of champions Manchester City.
Emery’s side missed the chance to qualify for the Champions League on Wednesday night following a 4-1 loss to bitter rivals Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku.
Alex Iwobi scored the north London side’s only goal in an otherwise embarrassing final for the Gunners.
