Arsenal opinion: How Arsenal can line up with Dani Ceballos
The 2019/20 transfer window hasn’t been the busiest one in recent years. The likes of Liverpool and Manchester City haven’t been active due to their fantastic squads and the rest of the big-six haven’t made any sort of statement so far.
One team that was expected to make a bigger push was Arsenal. However, with only a little over two weeks left for the English window to close, it’s time the Gunners got a little busy.
They’ve signed 18-year-old Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli but haven’t done much else to inspire the red half of north London.
After getting within touching distance of Champions League qualification, the Gunners lost out in the final hurdle of the Europa League and also fell in the league after being primed for a top-four finish.
Arsenal fans will not be pleased with the window so far and Unai Emery has a difficult job on his hand for a second season running.
However, Dani Ceballos has signed for the Gunners on a season-long loan, which should give the Emirates stadium some room for optimism heading into the coming season.
Ceballos is off the back of a victorious U21 European Championship and will be gearing to prove himself in England.
Let’s have a look at how he might line up for Arsenal under

Ceballos is one of those modern hybrid number 8s and 10s, who just like to float from the midfield to the attack. Unai Emery has preferred this system throughout the years and did the same with Arsenal in his first couple of games.
Ceballos would get the protection even though he’s got a defensive sensor himself. He’ll be allowed to create from this position and also take his trademark long-range shots from the edge of the box.

This would ideally be Ceballos’ best position. This is a position that the likes of Paul Pogba and Philipe Countinho love to play in and Ceballos profiles very similarly to the two.
He’d have to be a bigger part of the build-up in such a formation and Ceballos should have no trouble with that due to his close control and dribbling abilities.
