Longstaff to Man Utd?
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has told Manchester United to sign Sean Longstaff in a £25m deal this week.
Starsport understands Solskjaer is desperate to make the Newcastle midfielder his third summer signing.
The Norwegian wants the deal to be completed in rapid time so Longstaff can join-up with the United squad ahead of leaving for their pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East on July 8.
Solskjaer has told executive vice chairman Ed Woodward to meet the Magpies’ asking price of around £20m plus add-ons.
Zaha to Arsenal?
Crystal Palace are adamant star man Wilfried Zaha is not leaving for Arsenal.
According to The Sun, Steve Parish has told any prospective new owners that the Ivorian will be at the club next season.
Arsenal will be unable to meet Crystal Palace’s £80m asking price unless they sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Eagles are reluctant to lose another talent after selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United.
Wolves have completed the permanent signing of Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht.
The Belgium international made 26 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side during a loan spell last season.
Wolves sporting director Kevin Thelwell said: “He came in a bit later in the window and took time to settle and get used to the way in which we operate and play. But since he broke into the team he’s been terrific.
“He’s very professional, very honest and very hard-working, so he fits the team perfectly. I believe a lot of the success we had in the second part of the season was down to a big contribution from him.
“There was always an obligation to turn Leander’s deal permanent, so we’re delighted it’s worked out the way it has. He has been a welcome addition to the group.”
Ndombele to Tottenham?
Tottenham have agreed a £55m deal to sign Tanguy Ndombele from lyon.
Spurs could fork out an additional £9m in add-ons, according to the Guardian.
Mauricio Pochettino has made Ndombele his top target in the summer transfer window.
He has urged Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to do everything possible to sign the 22-year-old.
Chelsea release five
Chelsea have announced the departures of Gary Cahill, Gonzalo Higuain, Rob Green, Eduardo and Kyle Scott.
“All five formed a part of our men’s first team squad for all or some of their Chelsea careers, and we would like to wish them the best for the future,” a statement on the club’s website read.
Liverpool signing hailed
Liverpool new boy Sepp van den Berg has been hailed following his £1.4m move from PEC Zwolle.
“Sepp is a very talented player, we’ve said that many times at PEC Zwolle,” Stam said.
