City beat Chelsea to star
Manchester City have beaten Chelsea in the race to sign Millwall wonderkid Samuel Edozie.
Edozie has impressed in Millwall’s youth teams this season and City and Chelsea are among a number of clubs that have sent scouts to watch him.
The 16-year-old is highly rated at the Championship club but they’re resigned to losing him amid Premier League interest.
And according to The Sun, City will beat Chelsea to the £3m signing of Edozie.
The winger will join an exciting crop of youngsters at the Etihad.
Chelsea don’t want Higuain
Chelsea have given Gonzalo Higuain their blessing to follow Maurizio Sarri back to Serie A.
And if Sarri does succeed Max Allegri in Turin, The Sun say Higuain will be given a second chance at the Serie A champions.
However, the report adds that the potential switch is being held up by Chelsea demanding his £5.3m release clause is met by Juventus.
It was reported that Chelsea paid a £7.9m loan fee Higuain for his initial six months at the club.
They then had the option to extend his loan by another year this summer for £15.8m or buy him for £32m.
But the Blues have not seen enough end product to justify further outlay on Higuain, 31.
Daniel James pay rise
Swansea winger Daniel James is set for an incredible pay rise when joins Manchester United.
The 21-year-old completed his medical at Carrington yesterday ahead of a £15m move and the fee could rise to as much as £18m with add-ons and bonuses.
James had one year left on his contract at Swansea and after renewal talks broke down, the Championship side were forced to cash in to avoid losing him for free.
The winger was hoping for an increase on his £4,000-a-week wages and he’s set for a major pay rise when his switch to Old Trafford is complete.
According to the Daily Mail, James is set for a long-term deal worth £67,000-a-week.
The stunning weekly wage includes bonuses and it is a huge indication of the faith United have in him and they represent an incredible 1,575 per cent increase on his previous salary.

Manchester United are nearing their first signing of the summer after Daniel James completed a medical.
According to Sky Sports, the Swansea winger was at Carrington yesterday finalising terms ahead of an £18m move.
The fee is believed to be an initial £15m with £3m in add-ons.
James will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing since replacing Jose Mourinho in December.
Arsenal want Dembele
Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all enquired about Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
The Frenchman has impressed since sealing a £20m move from Celtic last summer.
According to journalist Duncan Castles, the Premier League quartet have asked Lyon to inform them if they are prepared to sell Dembele.
And the Ligue 1 side are expecting a flurry of bids in the coming weeks.
Liverpool to bank £100m?
Liverpool could earn up to £100m in player sales throughout the summer transfer window.
A cluster of fringe players have emerged as potential money makers for Liverpool over the coming months with five individuals set for the exit door.
The likes of Ryan Kent, Harry Wilson and Nathaniel Clyne among others could fetch up to £100m, reports the Daily Record.
Marko Grujic and Ovie Ejaria could also be part of Liverpool’s exodus, following Daniel Sturbridge and Alberto Moreno out the door.
