Nou Camp return for Neymar?
Neymar is reportedly seeking a return to Barcelona.
But the Catalan club’s vice-president Jordi Cardoner spoke on the speculation but played down chances of making a move for the PSG star.
“We are in a process of departures; it is a period that expires on the 30th of this month,” he said.
“The correct thing is to say that Neymar wants to return to Barcelona, but I do not agree that Barcelona worry about signing Neymar, this is not on the table.
“There are claims that we have signed Neymar. We have not signed anyone. We have not kept in touch with him. He and many more want to play for Barcelona.”
Fight for Fernandes
Liverpool are ready to launch a fresh approach for Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes as Manchester United continue to chase the midfielder.
The Portuguese star is widely expected to leave his homeland this summer as Premier League clubs circle.
United, Tottenham and Liverpool are the three English clubs vying for his signature at present.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are said to be favourites to land Fernandes this summer.
But according to Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias, Liverpool are not giving up a fight.
The publication claims the Reds have already had a bid of €50m (£44m) turned down in recent weeks but are ready to launch a fresh approach in order to beat rivals United.
Wan-Bissaka announcement imminent
Manchester United fans can expect an announcement on Aaron Wan-Bissaka today.
The Crystal Palace defender travelled to Manchester last night to undergo a medical.
Press Association reporter Simon Peach wrote on Twitter: “Aaron Wan-Bissaka to sign a five-year deal at #MUFC, with the option of another. Final stages. Medical to come.
“Sound like there will be an announcement regarding Wan-Bissaka on Thursday.”
Wan-Bissaka will become the club’s second signing of the summer.
Arsenal to land Saliba
Arsenal are set to seal their first signing of the summer transfer window.
Saint-Etienne central defender William Saliba is on the brink of completing a move to the Emirates Stadium for £22m (€25m), according to ESPN.
The two clubs are reportedly close to finalising a transfer agreement for the 18-year-old.
Saint-Etienne want Saliba back on loan for the upcoming season as part of any arrangement.
ESPN claim the Gunners will allow Saliba to spend next term with Saint-Etienne.
Chelsea done deal
Chelsea have secured the permanent acquisition of Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
According to the Telegraph, a £45m deal has been agreed with Real Madrid for the sale of the 25-year-old.
Kovacic spent last season on loan at Chelsea, impressing under Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea chiefs were worried about going into the new season with Ross Barkley, N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and the ousted Danny Drinkwater as their only midfield options.
Longstaff to Old Trafford
Manchester United are already preparing their next new arrival after reaching an agreement with Crystal Palace for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Red Devils look set to land the right-back for £50m after finally agreeing terms this week.
Wan-Bissaka’s move will make him the second star through the door at Old Trafford this summer after Daniel James’ arrival earlier this month.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already looking towards the next youngster he wants to bring in, in the form of Newcastle star Sean Longstaff.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks – and the Evening Standard are reporting that an official bid is expected imminently.
