De Gea talk played down
Manchester United star David de Gea continues to be linked with a move to PSG – but former Old Trafford star Ander Herrera has played down talk of a transfer.
De Gea is currently in Australia with his team-mates as they prepare for a pre-season tour Down Under.
And when asked about potentially being reunited with his fellow countryman in France, Herrera insisted United fans had nothing to worry about.
“David is my friend and is one of the best in the world, for me top 3, but here there are already two great goalkeepers,” he told Marca.
“There is [Alphonse] Areola, and [Kevin] Trapp returns after completing a great stage at Eintracht. You have to respect the people who are already there and expect Trapp and Areola to have a great season.”
Liverpool deal close
Liverpool will sign Fulham star Harvey Elliot this summer.
That’s according to the Telegraph, who claims he has the rejected a string of clubs in favour of the Reds.
Elliott became the youngster player to star in the Premier League last season, at the age of just 16.
Liverpool have reportedly beaten Real Madrid, PSG and RB Leipzig to his signature.
Fernandes expects Old Trafford move
Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes has his heart set on the club and expects a transfer to be complete this summer.
Those are the explosive claims from Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha, who go on to state that he is calm about the move.
Fernandes is expecting to complete a move to Old Trafford this summer.
The player’s agent Miguel Pinho has reportedly been in England as he looks to seal a transfer away.
United are yet to make a concrete offer but a proposal is being formulated.
Arsenal’s Fraser feeling
Unai Emery is a big fan of Ryan Fraser, with the £20m Arsenal target having caught the manager’s eye at Bournemouth last season.
Fraser’s current deal expires in 12 months’ time, so Bournemouth face the prospect of losing him for free next year unless they cash in now.
Arsenal are poised to take advantage of the situation and have Emery’s seal of approval on the player.
Starsport understands the Spaniard was very impressed by Fraser’s goal and assist return at the Vitality Stadium last term.
In the 2018/19 season, the 25-year-old netted seven times and registered a staggering 14 assists in 38 Premier League games.
£45m Gomez deal
West Ham look set to break the bank for Celta Vigo star Maxi Gomez.
That’s according to Sky Sports man Kaveh Solhekol.
West Ham will pay £45m for the forward after Valencia pulled out of a deal.
Gomez has snubbed European football in favour of a move to London.
De Ligt deal close
Matthijs de Ligt appears to be nearing a move to Juventus.
Superagent Mino Raiola confirmed the Ajax star had agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants.
He told De Telegraaf: “Agreements have been made with Matthijs and it is up to Ajax how the club wants to deal with this.”
De Ligt’s contract in Turin is believed to be a five-year deal worth £206,000-a-week.
Juventus are thought to have offered £58.3m in total with £49.3m of that up front.
