Five of the Premier League‘s big six are prepared to join the rest of Europe’s top clubs in the bidding war for Kai Havertz next summer.
He grabbed 20 goals in all competitions last season, setting up a further seven, and was the subject of numerous enquiries this summer.
Kai Havertz is wanted by a host of European clubs, including those in the Premier League
Those have all been ignored, however, according to Sport 1, there is an acceptance at the Bundesliga outfit that this is likely to be his last before the cash in on him.
They report that a host of clubs are interested in Havertz, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
They will face tough competition though, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid keen on the winger, while Bayern Munich are confident of persuading him to stay in Germany.
Any side looking to secure a deal though will have to be prepared to pay for it.
Bayer are understood to want €100m (£91m) for him, in what would be a record fee received by the club.
The 20-year-old already has three caps for Germany and scored in Leverkusen’s season opener
