Tottenham supporters are fearing the worst after Tanguy Ndombele was named among five players set to miss the north London derby.
Ndombele, who joined from Lyon for a club-record £55m fee in July, will be unavailable to face Arsenal because of a thigh injury.
The 22-year-old missed last Sunday’s clash with Newcastle United as Mauricio Pochettino’s men suffered their first loss of the campaign.
He has looked the real deal in his two appearances for Tottenham , scoring against Aston Villa before creating a goal at Manchester City.
Spurs will also be without Kyle Walker-Peters due to a hamstring strain.
Juan Foyth, who would have been an alternative at right-back, is also absent due to an ankle problem.
Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) is also unavailable while Eric Dier (hip) is being assessed.
Arsenal have looked mildly impressive in the new season while Tottenham have struggled to catch the eye.
And Spurs fans are concerned about facing their bitter rivals without a host of players.
“I’m not worried for Sunday at all,” one supporter sarcastically wrote on Twitter.
“This is pretty horrific lads,” a second said.
“Announce 7-1 loss,” a third commented.
“Oh we’re f*****,” a fourth moaned.
While another added: “Announce a disappointing afternoon at the Emirates.”
Arsenal vs Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium kicks off at 4.30pm on Sunday.
