Tottenham and Arsenal join Manchester City in race for free agent Dani Alves

Tottenham and Arsenal have reportedly joined Manchester City in the battle to sign Dani Alves.

The vastly experienced right-back is a free agent following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, and there is no shortage of suitors for his services.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham and Arsenal both want to sign Alves, who has been heavily linked with a switch to City, which would see him reunited with former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.

Despite being 36 years old, Alves produced some excellent performances for Brazil in their Copa America success this summer as he secured the 40th trophy of his illustrious career.

City are considering signing Alves to compete with Kyle Walker but a deal seems unlikely at present given that Danilo is still at the club.

Tottenham, meanwhile, could look to bring Alves in as a replacement for Kieran Trippier, who could leave the club this summer.

Arsenal could use Alves as an alternative option to Hector Bellerin, who is still recovering from injury.

Alves spent two seasons at PSG, during which he won two Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue.

Prior to that, he had a short spell at Juventus, which followed on from his illustrious stay at Barcelona.
