Arsenal recorded a routine 3-0 win on Thursday night, as they managed to breakthrough against Republic of Ireland side Dundalk.
Mikel Arteta’s team picked up three points in their Europa League group stage match against Dundalk and are now preparing for their trip to Old Trafford at the weekend to face Manchester United.
Eddie Nketiah broke the deadlock in the 42th minute with a poachers goal inside the box, while teammates Joe Willock and Nicolas Pepe also got on the scoresheet either side of half-time.
Nketiah has now scored three goals across all competitions so far this season in 11 games and the English centre-forward is competing with senior teammate Alexander Lacazette for the striker position.
The 21-year-old posted a message on his official Instagram account after Arsenal’s 3-0 victory.
Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham and Celta Vigo midfielder Denis Suarez responded to the post on social media, with the latter previously spending a brief spell at Arsenal on loan.
Nketiah is one of several academy graduates in the Arsenal first-team right now and he’s a lot more involved than the likes of Reiss Nelson and Willock right now, as he seems to be a favourite of the manager.
Arteta has used the England Under-21 international regularly during his time in charge at the Emirates Stadium and will be hoping he can build on his latest goal.
Nketiah is someone that can be clever with his movement around the box and clinical in front of goal, but there is still plenty more he needs to add to his game in terms of an overall impact and he’s fortunate he’s got a manager that is giving him opportunities.
