‘Spanish Lingard’: Many Arsenal fans not happy as club reportedly make offer for £17m-rated attacker

Arsenal are reportedly battling Bayer Leverkusen and AS Roma for Real Madrid attacker Lucas Vazquez and are said to have already tabled an offer for the Spaniard – but Gunners fans are far from convinced.

Vazquez, 28, has fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid following a busy summer that saw Zinedine Zidane bring in an influx of new signings. Eden Hazard and Luke Jovic, among others, have pushed Vazquez down the rankings.

Indeed, it has seen Vazquez manage just four starts for Real this season, and is now considered flexible by the Spanish giants. It is believed they want £17million for Vazquez’s services, which has seen Arsenal and other become interested.

Spanish outlet El Desmarque claim that Arsenal have made an offer for Vazquez, but they are not the only ones to do so. Leverkusen and Roma have also tabled bids, with Vazquez said to be intrigued with a move to Leverkusen.

Arsenal boast plenty of options out wide as Unai Emery continues to place his faith in the kids. Nicolas Pepe is joined by Reiss Nelson, Bukayo Saka and Joe Willock as options on the flanks – and signing Vazquez may stunt their path into the first team.

Arsenal fans reacted to the reported news that their club had made an offer for Vazquez, and many are against the idea of the Spanish star moving to The Emirates despite his transfer fee being less than £20million.
