Charlie Nicholas is backing Arsenal to claim a comfortable 3-1 home win over Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners head into the game looking to return to winning ways in the top flight after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United at Old Trafford last time out.
The north London side claimed an impressive 4-0 home win against Standard Leige in the Europa League on Thursday night to warm up for their home clash against the Cherries in style.
Arsenal will now be focused on claiming the three points in front of their home fans as they look to head into the international break on a positive note.
Unai Emery’s side are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table, having won three of their opening seven games in the top flight.
And former Gunners star Nicholas is tipping the north London side to comfortably claim all three points when they tackle Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “This is a game I expect Arsenal to go and win. Bournemouth are ticking along nicely and will play on the counter-attack, but they don’t tend to get results on the road away at the big sides.
“But with Arsenal’s defence is still very fragile, this is another dangerous game for the Gunners.
“They should just have enough to get the win, but then again if Arsenal are one thing, they are surprising.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season under Emery after the Gunners lost the Europa League final to Chelsea FC.
