AC Milan are reportedly planning a surprise swoop for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira, who has struggled to adapt to life in the English capital.
The Uruguay international joined the Gunners from Sampdoria last summer and he had a decent-to-good season where he made 49 appearances in all competitions.
Despite this, the 23-year-old has recently acknowledged that he has struggled to adapt to the life and language in England and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Rossoneri may seek to lure him back to the Serie A.
The same publication claims that the Rossoneri hierarchy are planning a sustained assault to secure the midfielder’s future, although the Gunners remain reluctant to listen to any offers.
Torreira’s former teammate Dennis Praet has been identified as a top target, but so far, the Gunners have not come close to Sampdoria’s £25m price tag for the Belgian.
