Spanish newspaper Marca have claimed that West Ham United have tabled an offer for Eibar midfielder Joan Jordan, while Arsenal are also interested amid a handful of Spanish sides.
The 24-year-old shone for La Liga side Eibar during 2018-19, having a hand in eight goals from the middle of the park – scoring four times and laying on four assists. He found the back of the net against Sevilla and Real Sociedad.
It is believed that Jordan has a release clause worth £13.3million, which is more than affordable for either of the two English sides. Arsenal are interested, but the Hammers have gone one step further and made an offer.
Spanish giants Villarreal and Valencia are also interested, while Sevilla have joined West Ham in making an offer for the former Espanyol and Real Valladolid. He has a contract at Eibar until the summer of 2020.

TBR’s view
West Ham desperately need a central midfielder. Edimilson Fernandes has left to join Mainz, while Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez spent the majority of last season injured.
It left the Hammers with just Mark Noble, Declan Rice and Pedro Obiang. Arsenal could also do with a central midfielder, after Aaron Ramsey left on a free transfer to join Italian champions Juventus.
At £13.3million, Jordan is more than affordable. But the question mark remains if he is good enough for either London club.
