Liverpool are reportedly in the hunt for young French starlet Bilel Hassaini.
Foot Mercato claim Jurgen Klopp’s side are ‘well-placed’ to snap up the talented winger, who is currently a free agent after running down his contract at AS Nancy.
Klopp has said that the club will not be spending huge amounts this summer, but didn’t totally rule out new additions.
With Hassaini a freebie, perhaps the Reds could make a move, but there is one problem – he would prefer a move to Arsenal.
Apparently he is waiting for the Gunners to put forth a concrete offer, but the north Londoners are yet to act.
Liverpool have a host of top young talents at the club, so missing out on Hassaini probably wouldn’t be the end of the world.
If Arsenal don’t come calling though, it’ll be another gem for the club to nurture.
Hassaini never featured for the Nancy first-team, but the 18-year-old has a high ceiling and has previously drawn interest from Manchester City, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Surely with that level of interest, the Gunners simply have to grant the exciting youngster his wish by signing him this summer.
