Arsenal are supposedly facing a battle to keep hold of star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to a report from The Times, the Gunners captain is concerned about his chances of winning trophies at his current club.
The Gabon international is said to want to play for a Champions League side, and the Gunners are looking highly unlikely to finish in the top four come May 2020.
Aubameyang has been a goalscoring revelation since joining the club in January 2018, hitting 56 in 89 appearances.
His amazing prowess in front of goal has seen him become a firm favourite with the fans, but they might be lucky to see him still around for 2020/21.
According to The Mirror, Italian giants Inter Milan have now joined the race for the striker, who is also being tracked by Barcelona.
TBR’s view – Arsenal may have to brace
The vast majority of Arsenal fans won’t want to see Aubameyang depart, but perhaps there will be little choice come next summer.
The positive of the situation would be that at least multiple clubs are interested in Aubameyang and that could drive up his price.
Realistically though, they’ll do well to recoup what they paid given the player’s age and the time left on his current contract.
