Flamengo starlet Reinier Jesus is attracting plenty of attention this summer. And Arsenal are among the clubs keen on the teenage talent, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
Jesus is hot property and Flamengo face a major battle convincing him to stay. He has not made his debut yet for the Rio de Janeiro-based outfit but he is still in high demand.
The 17-year-old is protected by a colossal £60m-plus release clause. But Arsenal are still hoping to win the race for the young midfield man.
Jesus is a talented young player. The Brazil U17 captain has already drawn comparisons with Samba legend Kaka for his style of play (Goal).
Arsenal are not alone in their admiration for Jesus, though. According to a report by The Sun back in March, Real Madrid were preparing to meet his release clause.
With a £60.5m release clause and after being compared to Kaka, there is major pressure on Jesus to realise his potential. Even if Arsenal fail to land him, Jesus is likely to play for a major European club in the near future.
If the Gunners can win the race for Jesus, they could have a seriously exciting young talent on their books. And beating the likes of Real Madrid to his signature would signal their intent for the future.
