Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has suffered an injury scare whilst on international duty.
According to AS, the star – who is on a season-long loan at the Emirates Stadium from Real Madrid – is struggling with a hamstring issue.
The 23-year-old is now a doubt for Spain’s game with Norway on Saturday, and has already undergone an MRI scan.
On Wednesday, Ceballos finished training 10 minutes earlier than the rest of his teammates as a precaution.
Apparently the injury is fatigue-related after a hectic start to the new season, with the playmaker having previously been used to the less intense La Liga.
Arsenal fans will be hoping he comes back to north London without any problems as their team seek to leapfrog Manchester City in the Premier League table.
Arsenal losing Ceballos would be a big blow on top losing Alexandre Lacazette – although the Frenchman should be back after the international break.
With Mesut Ozil out of the team at the moment, Ceballos is the side’s creative spark and losing him would potentially have a negative impact on the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Nicolas Pepe.
Unai Emery will be hoping Ceballos isn’t risked by Spain if he doesn’t need to be.
