Martin Odegaard is confident he has a future at Real Madrid after receiving praise for his brilliant start to the season with Real Sociedad.
The 20-year-old, who has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City, has only played twice for Real’s first team since they beat a host of European clubs to his signature back in 2015.
But after finding his feet at Sociedad and winning La Liga’s Player of the Month award for September, Odegaard believes he is on the right track to fulfil his potential at the Bernabeu.

‘I am in contact with Real Madrid, as sometimes they write to me to tell me how they see me,’ he told Eurosport Norway.
‘They have congratulated me and praised my good start in the league.
‘They have told me that they are happy with me.’
After spells at Dutch clubs Heerenveen and Vitesse over the last two seasons, the Norway international signed a two-year loan deal with Sociedad last summer.

However, he has no intention of returning to his parent club early despite his eye-catching form in the early stages of the season.
‘The idea is to respect [the loan deal],’ he said.
‘I am happy at the team, and so I want to continue here until my two years end.’
