Tottenham looked comfortable 40 minutes into today’s north London derby against Arsenal.
However, Alexandre Lacazette’s strike on the stroke of half-time, followed by a second-half Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goal means the Gunners salvaged a point.
Arsenal could have actually stolen a win at the Emirates had it not been for the offside flag and some good goalkeeping from Hugo Lloris.
The 2-2 draw piles more pressure on Mauricio Pochettino, who has now managed just 16 points from his last 16 Premier League games.
And football fans believe his time at Tottenham could be coming to an end, with Manchester United touted as a potential new destination for the Argentinian.
“Pochettino has taken spurs as far as he can and is starting to cost them,” one tweeted.
“Pochettino will be managing United by Xmas,” one suggested.
“This is definitely Pochettino’s last season at Spurs,” another wrote.
“Spurs fans have been doubting Pochettino for some time now, which is a good news for us.
Pochettino to MUFC next season, hopefully,” a fourth said.
“Pochettino should come to United and have a fresh start. He’s done all he can with Tottenham, think its starting to show,” another added.
“VAR keeping Pochettino in a job. Change my mind,” said one.
Pochettino was heavily tipped to be on his way out of Tottenham after today’s match. But the north London chief shot down those reports earlier this week, saying he was committed to the club.
“I am not going to walk away after the north London derby,” he said.
“I will be here on Monday and Tuesday.”
Pochettino has been heavily linked with moves to Manchester United and Real Madrid in recent months.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also struggling in his post at Old Trafford, which appears to be fuelling the rumours even more.
