Liverpool star Mohamed Salah said six words to David Luiz after penalty incident

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah told David Luiz that he didn’t feel any contact from the Arsenal defender in Saturday’s penalty incident.

Just seconds into the second-half on the Reds 3-1 win, Salah burst past the Brazilian, who instinctively grabbed hold of his opponent’s shirt.

Referee Anthony Taylor pointed to the spot, but the Egyptian confessed that he felt nothing to cause him to go to ground.

“I didn’t feel you touch me,” he told the Arsenal man, according to The Sun.

Salah dusted himself down to convert the spot kick with aplomb, doubling Liverpool’s lead in the process.

Gunners boss Unai Emery’s decision to play a diamond formation in midfield had fans scratching their heads.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright confessed he was baffled by the move, which left Liverpool with plenty of space down the flanks.

“Why on earth did Unai Emery go for a diamond at Liverpool when they have flying full-backs?” BBC Radio Live presenter Mark Chapman asked Wright.

Wright explained: “It was one of the things that I was baffled by. Before the game I was hoping to see Lacazette, Pepe and Aubameyang as I believe that Liverpool playing with a high line were there for the taking and I was really excited about that.

“And then to see the diamond or triangle given up space to Alexander-Arnold and Robertson was confusing for me.

“I don’t know if he’s doing it because he might use that system against lesser teams and it might work as he wants to keep it narrow.

“I thought against Liverpool it was a tactic that was handing them the incentive and I thought we played a bit too deep.

“I would rather we just go there with potency that we have and show them this is what Arsenal are about now. This is how we are moving forward but it was a confusing one for me.”
