Leeds run the risk of losing Arsenal loan star Eddie Nketiah in January, it’s claimed.
The talented attacker is currently on loan at Elland Road.
But he’s been used sparingly by Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds now run the risk of him being recalled by Unai Emery.
The Gunners want Nketiah to get regular first-team action as they look to accelerate his development.
According to The Sun , that’s put Bristol City on red alert as they eye another attacker.
Lee Johnson wanted Nketiah at Ashton Gate this summer but lost out to Bielsa.
However, he’s ready to try his luck again and put feelers out to Arsenal.
Nketiah, 20, has impressed when called upon for Leeds this season.
He’s bagged four goals in eight appearances in all competitions.
Nketiah revealed last month that Emery was eager for him to remain in north London.
“The manager wanted me to stay so it’s really confidence boosting for me that he had me in his plans,” he explained.
“I hope it’s a good year that can leave me in good stead going back to Arsenal to fight for a place.
“There were a lot of options, there were options for me to go to Germany but me, my family and the club decided Leeds was the best place.”
Former Leeds favourite Danny Mills reckons Bielsa isn’t convinced by the rising star.
“He just hasn’t really had a chance at Leeds from the start,” he told Football Insider.
“It’s an interesting one, clearly it’s something that Bielsa doesn’t quite see in training, playing international football is different, it’s not the same as playing league football and certainly Championship football.
“You have to trust Marcelo Bielsa and say what is he not seeing in training? What is not happening for him to not be put in the starting line-up?
“There’s just something that isn’t right. Bielsa clearly doesn’t trust him yet.”
