Jurgen Klopp has shed light on his half-time team talk in Liverpool FC’s 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds reinforced their position at the top of the Premier League table thanks to a comfortable victory over the north London side.

Liverpool FC defender Joel Matip broke the deadlock in the first half not long before the half-time break.

Mohamed Salah scored a penalty in the second half to double the home side’s lead before the Egypt international netted a superb solo goal.

Lucas Torreira came off the bench to net a consolation goal in the final eight minutes at Anfield.

Liverpool FC are sitting at the top of the Premier League table and three points ahead of third-placed Arsenal.

Klopp gave an insight into his team talk at the break that helped to inspire Liverpool FC to go and claim three points.

“I said at half time to the boys, ‘how do you think they [Arsenal] feel?’ because it was an intense first half, and they had to make all the runs as well,” Klopp is quoted as saying by Metro.

“We did them, but they had to make them as well.

“I really thought the tempo, we put in the game from the beginning was incredible, was really incredible. There was no time to breathe.

“Adrian, catch the ball (throws out), go. Robbo gets the ball, goes, oh really, again? We did it constantly. I like that.

“The opponent of the quality of Arsenal, you have to break somehow. Break them physically, yes. Of course.

“So now, we play, here, pass the ball there, do what you have to (to break them).

“I think we will be fine, try to do the right things in the right moment, and now we have again a day or two off, and then the last time for a long, long time, and then we start again.”

Liverpool FC are looking to win their first-ever Premier League title this season.

The Reds finished in second place in the top-flight table last term after ending up a point adrift of champions Manchester City.

Liverpool FC have beaten Norwich City, Southampton and Arsenal in their opening three Premier League games.

The Reds will make the trip to Burnley next weekend.
