Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara feels that Arsenal have got a big chance to finishing above his old club this season, ahead of this Sunday’s north London derby.
As per Sky Sports, O’Hara said that the pressure is on Unai Emery because there are problems behind the scenes across town and the Gunners boss needs to take advantage.
He said: “Emery needs to finish top four, 100 per cent, he has to finish in the top four. You’ve spent money – a lot of money – got rid of some players. Everyone’s now talking about Arsenal are going to be better than Tottenham.
“For me, now, the pressure is on Arsenal. We can sit here and big up Tottenham but we all know there’s issues going on behind the scenes that Pochettino isn’t happy about. This is the biggest chance Arsenal are going to have to finish above Tottenham.”
TBR’s View – Arsenal have a huge opportunity to make an early statement
Tottenham have endured a tough start to the season and Arsenal have a massive chance to stick the boot in on Sunday.
There’s a buzz around Arsenal this season and getting a home victory over their greatest rivals would kick that onto the next level while also meaning Tottenham have just one win in their first four Premier League games.
It’s time for them to walk the walk and show they can recover from a testing evening’s work against Liverpool last weekend, and land an early blow in that chase for the top four.
