Kai Havertz scored his first goal for Germany’s national side on Wednesday night as Argentina came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at the Westfalenstadion – and Arsenal fans were impressed by the Bayer Leverkusen youngster.
Havertz, 20, is considered one of the best young stars to have come through Germany’s academies in recent years. Indeed, Havertz has already clocked up 115 senior appearances for Leverkusen – scoring 31 goals and creating 23 more.
German outlet Sport1 claimed in the summer that Spanish duo Barcelona and Real Madrid have shortlisted Havertz, as have Premier League quintet Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
It is believed that Leverkusen value Havertz at a whopping £90million, and his goal for Germany on Wednesday night could further increase that price – as he slid home ex-Gunners star Serge Gnabry’s low cross to put his country 2-0 up.
Gnabry had put Germany in front, but a game of two halves saw Lucas Alario and Lucas Ocampos claw back a draw at Borussia Dortmund’s Stadium in the second half. Havertz lasted 83 minutes, before being replaced by Sebastian Rudy.
Arsenal fans reacted to Havertz’s display on Twitter after first being linked with the Gunners back in the summer, and many supporters of the north London side are desperate to see him wear red and white in years to come.
What a player Havertz is, ideal replacement to Ozil, but Leverkusen are bound to charge extortionate prices for a player in such high demand. United will surely be in for him as he would be great for their squad as well.

Love Özil but he should leave for the good of both the parties and we should sign Kai Havertz.
