Respected journalist and transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, has tweeted to say that Martin Odegaard is now ‘pushing’ for his move to Arsenal to happen.
Yesterday was a frantic day in terms of Odegaard to Arsenal, as numerous reports emerged throughout the day to suggest a deal was close to being done and that the Gunners had won the race for the Norwegian.
Odegaard is surplus to requirements in Madrid and has been seeking a move away again this January. A move to back to Real Sociedad seemed more likely at first but now Arsenal appear to have won the race.
And Romano, taking to Twitter late last night, delivered the news all Arsenal fans were wanting to hear when it came to Odegaard.
Real Madrid and Arsenal have been negotiating for Ødegaard also tonight.
The agreement is really close as reported yesterday – there are still details to be sorted out. No Real Sociedad, no Ajax: Ødegaard wants Arsenal.
He’s now pushing to join #AFC in the coming hours. 🇳🇴⌛️

It seems the midfielder is now actively trying to push his deal through and, at the time of writing, it seems it could be just a matter of hours before something official is sorted.
Of course, Arsenal will announce it themselves when everything is resolved. If it is this weekend, it would bring a good week to an end for the Gunners in which Mat Ryan has also arrived.
TBR View: The ‘Here We Go’ not far away for Arsenal?
Arsenal surely can’t mess this one up now and they’re surely so close to Romano giving the deal his famous ‘Here We Go’.
And what a signing Odegaard could be. As well as proving Arsenal can operate quickly in the market, it’s a signing of intent and gives them a player of genuine quality in attacking areas.
The Norwegian could well still end up back in Madrid full-time, but for now, Arsenal fans should love what they get from the midfielder.
