Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan has acknowledged that he is unsure regarding his future with Arsenal following his season-long loan spell at AS Roma.
The 30-year-old made the move to the Giallorossi shortly before the European transfer deadline but they did not agree on the option for a permanent purchase next summer.
Speaking to VBET News, Mkhitaryan said that he is presently focused on performing for the Giallorossi and he has no idea what the future will pave for him.
“Let’s first see what I can do in Roma and at the end of the season I think we can talk if I will have the possibility to stay or to go to something else, I don’t know,” he told.
Mkhitaryan appeared likely to stay put with the Gunners after making a cameo appearance in the north London derby on September 1 but he made a surprise move to the Stadio Olimpico 24 hours later.
His departure should provide the likes of Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith-Rowe with playing time following their impressive loan stints away from the club last season.
