A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter urging the Gunners to name Bukayo Saka in their starting XI for tonight’s Premier League meeting with Leicester at the Emirates Stadium.
The 19-year-old has made three league appearances for Arsenal this season, starting against West Ham, Sheffield United and Manchester City.
Against the Hammers, Saka was key for both of the Gunners’ goals, providing key passes for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dani Ceballos to then set up Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
The Hale End graduate then weighed in with the opener in the 2-1 win over the Blades and, even though Arsenal lost at Man City, Saka was one of his side’s biggest threats as they chased an equaliser.
Saka also shone against Leicester at home last season, wrongfooting Jonny Evans to lay on a chance for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score and almost getting a second himself in what finished as a 1-1 draw.
As a result, calls for the teenage prodigy to start against the Foxes tonight were plentiful, as per the below social media comments:
Pepe and Auba up front, standard CBs and Bellerin Tierney. Although Saka deserves start too. I am not a master tactician haha but just would like to see those 3 in midfield once

It should be aubameyang up front and saka on the flank. Lacazette can start from the bench….

Saka HAS to start. No two ways about it.

Play Xhaka-Partey and Saka tomorrow

In both our home games this season, Saka made 2 key passes that created both goals against West Ham and he scored the opener against Sheff Utd, if you look back to Leicester at home last season, he created Auba’s goal in that as well. He’ll be key to unlocking Leicester tomoz.

Facts he’s our most creative player and anyone who helps unleash Auba is a must play

I’d love to see Saka-Auba-Pepe as a trial and midfield Xhaka-Partey with Ceballos having more creative freedom
