Has Thomas Partey just dropped a big hint on Instagram, as Arsenal face Palace? – TBR View

Arsenal will be looking to make it five wins in a row on Thursday evening as they play host to Crystal Palace at The Emirates – and Thomas Partey may have just hinted he could to return to the side, with a post on Instagram.

Partey, 27, has been sidelined for the last six Premier League matches due to a hip injury. He has been active during the matches, posting images that shows he is supporting his side from the sofa – but that might be about to change.

In his absence, the Gunners have finally rid themselves of a dismal run of form to win their last four matches – beating Chelsea, Brighton and West Brom in the league, and then Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney have all starred – as has experienced striker Alexandre Lacazette, while Partey has returned to training. But has he just hinted he could finally return to action.

As many players do, Partey posted an image on his Instagram story about Thursday evening’s match against Palace – informing supporters of the kick-off time and included the words “Let’s go Gunners”.

TBR’s view – So, is Partey set to return?

Well, Goal’s Arsenal reporter Charles Watts suggested the Ghana midfielder would be available for selection on Thursday night. Certainly, Partey has not posted the kind of image (above) in the previous matches.

A return on Thursday night looks inevitable, then. But does he start? Mikel Arteta has not been regular with his central midfield selection, chopping and changing between the likes of Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos and Mo Elneny.

But with Partey fit, he has got to play – and all the signs are suggesting he might start.
