A number of Stoke City fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun over the weekend claiming that several top flight clubs, including Arsenal, want Nathan Collins.
Collins has made 16 starts in the Championship this season. And it appears that his development is not going unnoticed by a number of Premier League sides.
The Sun claims that the Gunners want the Irishman. But they are battling the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace and Manchester United for his signature.
It is suggested that the Clarets lead the race currently. But the report noted that bidding could start in the coming days.
The Sun added that Stoke ideally want more than £10 million. However, they may be tempted to accept that sort of figure.
The suggestion that he could leave for £10 million however, has not gone down at all amongst Stoke fans on social media.
Several have insisted that he should only be allowed to leave for double that amount. They believe that he has the potential to be worth considerably more in the future.
If the Potters listen to their supporters, it is going to be incredibly difficult for the likes of Arsenal and Burnley to lure Collins away. But their reaction to the reports should certainly encourage the fans of his Premier League admirers.
Here is how some of the Stoke supporters have reacted to the links…
Every player has a price and we need to balance the books and the squad. Start with £20m. Sadly this is the consequence of mismanagement of our recruitment.

£10m for a 19yo star in contract? Ask for £20m at least and negotiate

£10 million is not enough. https://t.co/zFUy1ahZRy

A prem and international cb for the next 10-15 years, would like to think a bidding war would take it above 15 at least as he’ll be 30 mill after 2 years in the prem and UTD been scouting for 2 years…. MON could do an awful lot with 15 mill right now and the summer though

We need to keep Collins and he for now needs to stay. Given we paid £6mil for the useless Smith whose position Collins is currently filling, he must be worth £30 mil and has youth on his side. A future top centre half in the making. And if he ever does go there has to be add ons.

If you get him for £10m that is daylight robbery 😳
