‘Get him in’: Some Arsenal fans excited as they are linked with ‘fantastic’ PL 21-year-old

Arsenal are reportedly considering Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell as a potential transfer target – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded with real excitement to the speculation.

According to the Evening Standard, Gunners scouts are currently monitoring the 21-year-old at Premier League rivals Palace.

The report states that Mikel Arteta’s side want to bring in another left-back to the squad and have eyed Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand, but the Palace youngster is also someone on their radar.

Mitchell is a relatively inexperienced player to come through the Palace academy, but he’s impressed during his 10 Premier League appearances this season and may have a huge future ahead of him.

Aged 21, the quick left-back has filled in at Selhurst Park when needed and he’s started the last four consecutive league fixtures to help enhance his reputation.

Scotland international Kieran Tierney is the first-choice left-back at Arsenal and many have called for him to be the club captain.

It seems highly unlikely that the 23-year-old is going to be dropped anytime soon, so any joining full-back will know they’ll be playing second fiddle to Tierney.

The Standard’s report doesn’t mention any contact for the Palace talent, but there are some Arsenal supporters on social media that are urging the club to try arrange his transfer across London.

Here are some Arsenal fans discussing the Mitchell speculation:
