Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Everton Soares. According to Globo Esporte, Arsenal’s new Technical Director Edu is behind the move for Gremio star Everton.
Edu has made contact with Brazilian businessman Gilmar Veloz as he sounds out Everton. Arsenal could follow up with a bid for Everton after Edu’s initial enquiries.
But this report adds that Arsenal will face competition from some of Europe’s big names. Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Bayern Munich and Manchester United also want Everton.
The Brazil international recently starred at the Copa America. With three goals, including one in the final, Everton picked up the Golden Boot award to go with his winners’ medal.
It is no surprise to see clubs from Europe circling around Everton now. The 23-year-old plays on either wing and has been impressive in South American football.
With 147 games, 38 goals and 10 assists for Gremio, Everton is now ready to test himself in England. Edu will now try to get this deal over the line for Arsenal.
