Hazard was rested throughout much of Chelsea’s Europa League campaign, as Maurizio Sarri’s team chased a top four spot in the Premier League too.
In detail, Hazard played just 98 minutes of the group stages, and played just 19 minutes in the two knockout stages before the quarter-finals.
He then played with slightly more regularity, including the full 120 minutes as Chelsea beat Frankfurt on penalties in the semi-finals.
The 28-year-old’s brace in the final was the perfect sendoff to the Chelsea faithful before his inevitable transfer to Madrid came to fruition
In contrast, Giroud was Chelsea’s main threat in the Europa League, playing 1,125 minutes and he finished as the competition’s top scorer with 11 goals in 14 games.
Meanwhile, Jovic scored 10 goals, including the solitary goal as Frankfurt knocked out Inter Milan in the last-16 stage.
The Croat’s good form earned him a big-money move to Real Madrid in the summer, signing for Zinedine Zidane’s side for £62million.
