Eden Hazard beats former Chelsea team-mate Olivier Giroud to UEFA Europa League Player of the Season
Eden Hazard has beaten former Chelsea team-mate Olivier Giroud to the 2018-19 Europa League Player of the Season.
The Real Madrid winger, who secured his dream £150million move to the Bernabeu this summer, scored a double in the final against Arsenal, his last appearance for Chelsea.
Olivier Giroud was the competition’s top scorer and Luka Jovic, who now plays with Hazard in Madrid, was also nominated after an excellent campaign for Eintracht Frankfurt last season.
