Richardson is said to be leading the group but has yet to formally meet with president Wael Al Qadi.

The pair were involved in Sports Capital Group PLC’s purchase of Palermo in December last year.

Platt acted in a consultancy rose and appeared at the press conference to unveil the new owners.
