Dani Ceballos is keen on joining Arsenal on a permanent transfer from Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet El Desmarque, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Gunners have been handed a boost in their hopes of landing Ceballos next summer.
The Spanish playmaker is currently on a season-long loan deal from the La Liga side and as things stand, Arsenal do not have the option of making the move permanent.
The same story claims that the playmaker has recently been told by Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez that he does not have a future at the Spanish club.
And according to the report, the pair recently held a meeting in which they both decided that a permanent move to Arsenal makes sense for both parties.
The article also says that Real Madrid will be happy to let Ceballos leave if they receive a fee of around £34m for the midfielder.
Ceballos has made two assists in eight appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.
He will be hoping to be involved when the Gunners travel to Sheffield United on Monday night in the Premier League.
