Gremio forward Everton Soares has acknowledged that he has received an offer to leave the club amid the speculated interest from Arsenal.
The 23-year-old has been a consistent performer for Gremio in recent seasons and this has helped him become a regular with Brazil over the past 12 months.
As a result, the attacker has been touted to pursue a bigger challenge in the Premier League with Arsenal, and he has now hinted that the move could be on the cards.
“At this moment I have an offer, but I can’t say the name of the club. Just like I can’t promise that on Thursday I’ll still be playing for Gremio, we’ll see,” he was quoted as saying by The Mirror.
Gremio are currently said to demand a fee of around £36m for the Copa America winner and reports indicate that the Gunners could land his services, provided they can negotiate a deal involving installments.
The Gunners are presently in the United States for their pre-season tour and they are scheduled to face Colorado Rapids in their opening friendly on Tuesday.
