Former Premier League football Clinton Morrison has told Talk Sport that Arsenal should look to sign Gary Cahill on a free transfer.
The ex-Crystal Palace striker was a pundit on Jim White’s show and believes the former Chelsea man would be a ‘great signing’.
Cahill was released from Stamford Bridge at the end of last season and is currently without a club.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Juventus star Daniele Rugani on loan (Corriere Torino), and Morrison thinks he’d be ideal alongside Cahill.
He told Talk Sport: “One man who’s available at the moment is Gary Cahill.
“I know they want younger players but if you sign Cahill to play alongside say, Rugani, then it’s a great signing.”
Cahill is 33 now but Arsenal will undoubtedly be on the lookout for defenders before the window slams shut next month.
TBR Verdict
This isn’t a bad shout from Morrison.
It is perhaps a surprise that Cahill hasn’t been picked up by anyone just yet given his vast experience.
The veteran earned £100,000-a-week during his last year at Chelsea and Arsenal may be unwilling to give him such a sum.

A chance to play for a couple more years at a top Premier League outfit would surely appeal to the Champions League-winning defender, however.
Alongside someone like the 25-year-old Rugani, it could be a decent partnership for the Gunners going into next season.
