Cesc Fabregas has heaped praise on Bukayo Saka for his display in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Monday night.
The 18-year-old was named in Arsenal’s starting XI for the clash against their bitter rivals at Old Trafford.
Saka acquitted himself well with two shots on goal, two successful dribbles and five completed tackles during his 80-minute display.
The Arsenal teenager provided a bright spark for the north London side as club-record signing Nicolas Pepe struggled to influence the game.
Saka has enjoyed a productive couple of weeks after the teenager scored and made an assist in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt last month.
Former Arsenal skipper Fabregas took to social media to admit he was impressed with Saka’s composure despite his lack of experience at top-flight level.
Fabregas posted on his Twitter page: “Saka is a player. 18 years old showing great maturity 👏🏻”
Arsenal came from behind to secure a point at Old Trafford after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cancelled out Scott McTominay’s first-half goal.
The Gunners are in fourth place in the Premier League table and four points behind defending champions Manchester City.
Unai Emery’s side will take on Belgian outfit Standard Liege in their next Europa League fixture at The Emirates.
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Sunday with a home clash against Bournemouth.
The Gunners have failed to finish in the top four in the last three seasons.
