Arsenal are willing to hold talks with AC Milan regarding the potential sale of midfielder Lucas Torreira during the summer transfer window.
The Uruguayan had a good debut season with the Gunners where he made 50 appearances but he has recently admitted to be struggling to adjust to life in the English capital.
According to Sport Mediaset, the Rossoneri are said to have an initial £7m loan approach for the midfielder with the option to buy for around £34m when his two-year stint concludes.
The same publication claims that the Gunners may be tempted by the move, should the Rossoneri include an obligatory buy clause as part of the two season-long loan agreement.
Torreira shared a fond association with manager Marco Giampaolo during their time together at Sampdoria and the duo could be reunited at San Siro with the latter recently appointed as the Rossoneri’s new boss.
The midfielder is currently on Copa America duty with Uruguay in Brazil.
