Arsenal are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Real Madrid to secure the services of Spanish winger Lucas Vazquez.
The 28-year-old has been with the first-team squad at Los Blancos for the past four seasons, but his position has become insecure after the summer arrivals of Luka Jovic and Rodrygo Goes.
According to AS, the Gunners are in advanced discussions with the Madrid giants for the winger and they could finalise a deal worth £28.7m plus add-ons by the end of next week.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the Spain international but Unai Emery‘s side are said to hold the advantage with the guarantee of regular first-team football.
Vazquez has made nearly 200 appearances for Los Blancos since making the jump to the first-team and he has won three Champions League titles and the La Liga crown during this period.
Aside from Vazquez, Arsenal are also determined to land the signature of Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace and reports have suggested that they may propose a player-plus-cash deal after their initial £40m bid was knocked back.
