Over the three seasons he has played at the Molineux, Boly has become a central figure in defence as well as the dressing room.
And on Thursday the ex-Porto ace proved important at the other end when he scored a last-gasp header in their 1-0 win over Besiktas in the Europa League.
Boly would be expected to go straight into the first-team with the likes of Luiz and Sokratis in their 30s.
William Saliba, 18, was signed in the summer but went back to Saint-Etienne on loan for the season to continue his development.
Shkodran Mustafi has performed well in the Europa League but has yet to convince Emery of his credentials in the Premier League.
