Jack Wilshere is no longer a free agent after Championship side AFC Bournemouth confirmed a deal to sign the England international until the end of the season following his West Ham release – and plenty have reacted.
Wilshere, 29, has been a free agent since the summer when West Ham decided to end his contract – a decision which seemingly annoyed the ex-Arsenal man, who claimed he had been fit for a considerable time, but overlooked.
He has since been to the middle east to work on his fitness, and is now back at one of his former sides in Bournemouth – where he played 27 times during the 2016-17 season in the Premier League.
Now in the Championship, Bournemouth sit in third place in the table and are hoping the addition of 34-time England international Wilshere can boost their chances of promotion. Wilshere has posted on Instagram.
The FA Cup winner has agreed a contract until the end of the season, where he may be handed the opportunity to extend his initial deal with Jason Tindall’s side. Certainly, impressing between now and then will boost that chance.
Arsenal star Reiss Nelson reacted on Instagram, commenting “Super Jack” while Gunners legend Ian Wright and former Arsenal teammate Cesc Fabregas also responded on his post.
