Arsenal are set to sit down with Alexandre Lacazette for discussions about a potential exit this summer, according to a report in France.
Website Yahoo! Sport FR, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Lacazette is set to hold talks with the Gunners to get clarity surrounding Unai Emery’s plans for the French forward.
The same article states that an “unnamed Spanish club” are eager to sign the proven goal-scorer in the summer transfer window to cast doubt on his future at Arsenal.
According to the same story, the meeting between Arsenal and Lacazette is to discuss whether Arsenal would be open to selling the France international this summer.
The Daily Express go on to state that Lacazette isn’t interested in a contract extension but he would be open to a new challenge in La Liga.
Arsenal signed Lacazette in a £52m deal from Ligue 1 sign Lyon in the 2017 summer transfer window.
The French forward scored within minutes of his Premier League debut in a 4-3 victory over Leicester City at The Emirates in the opening game of the 2017-18 season.
Lacazette has netted 27 times in 67 games in the Premier League over the past two seasons at the north London side.
However, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has proven to be the more prolific goal-scorer at Arsenal.
