Koscielny joined the Gunners nine years ago and he’s enjoyed an impressive spell in north London, winning two FA Cups and reaching the Europa League final.
But the Frenchman’s time at the Emirates appears to be over after he refused to travel for Arsenal’s pre-season tour of America.
Koscielny’s contract expires next summer but reports have suggested he asked to have his deal terminated in order to join a new club this summer.
He chose not to travel to the United States after having his request rejected.
The 33-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to his homeland.
And L’Equipe claim Koscielny wants to join Bordeaux.
“I think that he wants to come,” a source at the club told the French outlet.
“On our side, in any case, it is work that we have put in for a long period of time.
“I love you Laurent but this is a poor decision.”
Arsenal legend Ian Wright
“It is on the Arsenal side that things are blocked.”
With Arsenal refusing to release Koscielny from his contract, it’s reported it will take a fee of €10m (£8.9m) to sign him but Bordeaux are not willing to pay that much.
And Gunners legend Ian Wright has warned the centre-back he’s at risk of tarnishing his legacy at the club.
“For our captain to refuse to go on a pre-season tour after nine years of unbelievable service,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“To kind of destroy your legacy a little bit in respect of refusing to play for a club that you’ve professed love for, is something that is baffling me.
“You’re the one we chose as our captain, our leader, and now we’re going into pre-season with our captain refusing to go on the tour. How do you think that looks?
“This is something I cannot get my head around. I pray to god it can be resolved sooner rather than later.
“Whether staying or going. I am so disappointed in your decision to do this at this time. I love you Laurent but this is a poor decision.”
