Borussia Dortmund have reportedly told Arsenal that they would have to pay a sum of around £25m in order to secure the signature of Julian Weigl.
The 23-year-old has racked 151 appearances for Dortmund across all competitions but last season was a difficult one for him as he was restricted to just 16 starts in the Bundesliga.
According to SportBild, the Gunners are understood to have made an enquiry for the midfielder’s services and in response, Dortmund have placed a £27m price tag on the player’s head.
The same report claims that Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the proceedings of the five-time Germany international with Adrien Rabiot set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the month.
Weigl, who can feature in both midfield and central defence, has two years remaining on his contract with Dortmund. He has previously attracted interest from Real Madrid prior to sustaining an ankle fracture in 2017.
