Crystal Palace are looking for an £80m transfer fee before being tempted into selling Wilfried Zaha to Arsenal this summer, according to a report in England.
BBC Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Palace are set to reject an opening £40m bid for the Ivory Coast international from the Gunners.
The same article states that Palace are reluctant to offload Zaha in the current transfer window after Aaron Wan-Bissaka moved to Manchester United in a £50m deal.
According to the same story, Palace will only consider selling Zaha if Arsenal are prepared to meet their asking price for the former Manchester United winger.
BBC Sport go on to add that Arsenal manager Unai Emery is a big fan of Zaha following the African’s impressive performances throughout the 2018-19 campaign.
The report goes on to say that Arsenal could struggle to conclude a deal for Zaha given that the Gunners have a mere £45m to spend this summer.
Manchester United will be due part of Zaha’s fee should the Ivorian winger complete a big-money switch to the north London side.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League qualification spot for a third successive season.
