The 18-year-old forward made it four goals in two starts for the Gunners since signing for £6million this summer, leaving Arsenal fans salivating over the hot prospect they have on their hands.
Martinelli’s man of the match performance also saw him set up Dani Ceballos to score Arsenal’s fourth and final goal in the emphatic win on Thursday night.

However, the fun didn’t stop there for Arsenal fans, who gloated after the full-time whistle about how the Red Devils passed up on the Brazilian starlet multiple times.
In an interview last week, Martinelli revealed how United snubbed the chance to sign him after training with the Premier League giants four times between 2015 and 2017.
The Old Trafford side had reportedly been tracking the starlet alongside a host of other European clubs, and Martinelli made a number of trips from his native Brazil to train with United’s youth team.
But after the Red Devils opted against snapping up the youngster, Arsenal later completed a move after fending off competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The teenager was in red hot form and put in a man of the match display on Thursday evening
The Brazilian also showed his pace to brilliantly set up Dani Ceballos to score Arsenal’s fourth
When asked about his time with United, Martinelli said: ‘Between 2015 and 2017 I went there four times and trained for about 15 days.
‘I asked to take a picture with [Patrice] Evra, [Marouane] Fellaini and other guys.
‘Pogba knew I was Brazilian and asked if everything was okay with me and where I was playing. We took a picture together.’
This news came as a delight to Arsenal fans as they watched the teenager score twice against Nottingham Forest before getting his brace in the Europa League inside 16 minutes.
Salt was rubbed into United’s wounds considering they failed to register a single shot on target in their woeful goalless stalemate against AZ Alkmaar earlier in the day.

Fans couldn’t resist to poke fun at United’s misfortunes while heaping praise on Martinelli in the process.
One fan joked, ‘[Mason] Greenwood has posters of King Gabriel Martinelli’ while another insisted, ‘Martinelli (sic) been in England for 2 months and is already better than Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.’
One Arsenal supporter joked that Martinelli is ‘better than Cristiano Ronaldo’ following his two quick goals against Standard Liege.
His impressive brace meant that Martinelli is the youngster player, at the age of 18 years and 107 days, to score two or more goals in a major European game for Arsenal.
And the pundits were full of praise for the Brazilian following the result.
Fans were quick to heap praise on Martinelli before mocking United over failing to sign him
Michael Owen said: ‘(Martinelli) looks like a talent. I really like this lad. The ball has been prepared out wide and he wants to get involved. Once he sees it go out wide he shifts his focus to get in the box.
‘I really like the way he hid behind the defender and got in front when the cross was triggered.’
Arsenal’s captain for the night, Hector Bellerin, said: ‘He’s been a player since he’s come into the team he’s had his head down and worked really hard and it shows on the pitch. He is doing everything the coaches ask him and everyone is happy for him scoring goals.’
