Brazilian full back Dani Alves is ready to take a pay cut to move to Arsenal.
Alves, 36, is a free agent after his contract expired at French champions Paris Saint-Germain last month.
It is reported that he wants £200,000 a week, which Arsenal would struggle to pay given the lack of transfer funds at Unai Emery’s disposal this summer.

After missing out on the Champions League for a third consecutive year, Emery needs to keep a tight control of the club’s wage bill.
Tottenham and Manchester City had been linked with Alves but a report in The Sun suggests Arsenal is the preferred choice for the defender and he would consider a drop in salary.
He showed at the Copa America earlier this month that he is still able to play at a high level.

He won his 40th trophy as a player when Brazil beat Peru 3-1 in the final.
He strongly hinted at a possible move to the Premier League last year. ‘The idea that I might finish my career without going to the Premier League, it is not possible,’ he said.
‘For sure, this is the most amazing football in the world. First, because of the respect for the players from the fans, and then because of the passion on the pitch.
‘If I can play, that would be perfect, but I will make it there one way or the other.’
